Due to baby clinic being cancelled Christmas Day and New Years Day we are holding an extra baby clinic on New Years Eve 10.30am - 12pm. There will be a doctor, nurse and health visitor present.

This year we have joined forces with Metro Radio to support Mission Christmas which is a fantastic charity supporting children who are living in poverty all over the North East. The Grove Medical Group is an official drop off point for this years campaign, collecting toys and gifts for children aged 0-18. These gifts must be unopened and not in wrapping paper. Donations are being accepted until 13th December.

If you have missed our clinics and need an appointment, please call the surgery to book an appointment with one of our nurses.

We are now on Facebook and Twitter !

Are you taking Gabapentin or Pregabalin (brand names include Lyrica, Alzain, Neurontin) ?

There will be changes that may effect you from 1st April 2019.  These changes follow a government consutlation because of concerns around possible misuse and mean that these medicines become Controlled Drugs (CDs).  The medicines themselves will not change, but this will mean that only 28 DAYS supply can be prescribed at a time.

Please click:  Further Information on Pregablin and Gabapentin Prescribing

We appreciate patients have concerns regards to the availability of drugs due to BREXIT, please only order medication if is due. Please click link below for further information.

May 2019 - Appointment Cancellations

During May 529 patients rang up to cancel their appointment to see either a GP or a Nurse.

This has enabled the practice to offer these cancelled appointments to other patients.

If you have an appointment booked and cannot attend please call us to rearrange or cancel the appointment.  This does have knock on effect as to how long patients wait to book an appointment to see a GP or a Nurse.

Many thanks

Our next meeting will be held on Wednesday 17th July  2019 at 2:30pm here at The Grove Medical Group.
